Chelsea now have six strikers in the senior squad following Danny Welbeck’s transfer, and they intend to have half as many going into the season.
Joao Pedro is going nowhere and is being given a new deal, as The Athletic reported.
Liam Delap is one of the players most likely to go. He joined from Ipswich Town for £30million last summer, but the club are looking for a fee in excess of that.
Nicolas Jackson is valued at £65m and is liked by Aston Villa, while the asking price for Marc Guiu is £25m. All three have interest from clubs in England and abroad.
Emmanuel Emegha, currently recovering from a hamstring injury, is not assured of his role yet.
The Club will likely go into the season with three forwards, with manager Alonso yet to come up with its preferred Striking options But likely reports puts Joao Pedro as untouchable for the blues, Jackson and Delap have been creditted with interst from Premier League teams with Aston Villa and Totenham interested, while Everton have been credited with interest with for Delap, Emegha who is nursing a return from injury, is a another one who is watched closely by Alonso and could be sent out on loan

As the season starts Chelsea FC fans will look to a fresh strike force and not the disappointing outing of Delap last season with zero goals in the Premier League, Xabi Alonso will have to bring out the best from the players at his disposal
