Saliba speaks on signing a new contract at arsenal
Arsenal’s defender has spoken on reasons why he signed a new contract with the club, insisting it was because he has a future at the club, speaking to reporters he praised the atmosphere at the club and insisted everything was complete
“Because everything was complete for me. We have a good team, we have a good coach, we have good staff. And I’m sure that the future here will be very good, so there was no hesitation to extend my contract with Arsenal. “I spoke with my agent and with the coach as well, but it was more on me than anyone else. I had to think by myself and to be honest it was easy because I knew that I wanted to stay here and achieve great things. So for me it was an easy decision. “Of course it can be a bit of a headache when you still haven’t signed your extension and people are talking, so when you sign, afterwards you are much more chilled, you can be more focused on your football.”
The centre back who has been nicknamed lamborghini by Arsenal fans have found himself ruled out with injury in the past few weeks which has hampered arsenals progress, Saliba who returned to the pitch in last weekends win at wolves will be looking forward to help the gunners maintain a title surge and win thier first Premier League title since the invicibles, The gunners have a tricky trip to play against Everton and the gunners will be hoping to pick up all three points.
